France traditionally remains the most beloved country among tourists from all over the world. This romantic country attracts travelers with a wide range of leisure activities — from sunny Nice to gloomy but atmospheric Normandy, from architectural Paris to the elite ski resort of Courchevel. Spain ranks second in the rating. For the second year in a row, this country has overtaken another popular tourist destination, which now ranks third. The vibrant Spanish culture, the architectural streets of Madrid and Barcelona, as well as the Canary Islands and Mallorca attract travelers looking for a beach vacation.
However, not all locals are happy with the influx of tourists. Some of Spain’s most popular cities are starting to raise tourist taxes or refuse to rent accommodation to tourists due to overcrowding.

Mexico, famous for its world-renowned attractions and national parks, came in third place in the ranking. However, researchers do not yet have clear forecasts for the situation in 2025. Nevertheless, France is expected to remain the leader in the ranking again, as it will host many social events.
