If you’re interested in specific news events, you can use a notification service like Google Alerts to be alerted when specific categories you’re interested in come up. These can be international, or local news issues.

- Business news, for example stock prices, mergers, and acquisitions
- Television show information, like renewals and cancellations
- Parliamentary sessions, congressional hearings, and other political proceedings
- Legal battles and rulings, such as the Supreme Court
- Protests, like the George Floyd protests

Shop Local
Local news is a great way to keep up with the news in your area. So, look at local news sources. These can include local broadcast news channels, or print news sources. There may also be blogs
