Nagaratna, head of the Hyderabad Meteorological Department, told ANI that heavy to very heavy rains were forecast in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh. Light to moderate rainfall is likely in Nalganda, Suriyapet, Bhadradri, Kothagudem, Khammam and Malugu districts of Telangana.
Thunderstorms are expected to hit the coast of Kakinara and rains in Andhra Pradesh
Nagaratna said heavy to very heavy rains have been warned in the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. Adjacent areas could also be affected by the cyclone in the neighboring state of Telangana. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Nalganda, Suriyapet, Bhadradri Kothagulem, Khammam and Malugo. Occasionally there may be heavy rainfall.
Meteorological officials said light to moderate rains are likely in the southern districts of Telangana state. There may be light rain in Hyderabad in the next 24 hours. The sky may be overcast for the next 48 hours.
Earlier on Tuesday, Odisha Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena told ANI that thunderstorms would reach the Kakinara coast of Andhra Pradesh by Wednesday morning
Another senior official of the Indian Meteorological Department told ANI that heavy to very heavy rains have been forecast in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh due to the cyclone.
Nalganda, Suriyapet, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam and Mulugo districts of Telangana are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall.
