Pentagon spokesman John Kirby called Putin’s behavior in the war “vicious.”According to a report by the British media BBC and the news agency Reuters.

Speaking to reporters at the Pentagon, John Kirby said that in Ukraine, innocent people have been shot in the back of the head. Their hands are tied behind their backs. Women and pregnant women are also being killed. The hospital is being bombed. It is unimaginable.

Earlier, in another round of talks with reporters, he criticized Russia’s stance on the nuclear issue.

“The statements we have heard from Russian leaders and the recent fears of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about a nuclear confrontation are irresponsible,” Kirby said.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that he still agrees to peace talks with Putin.

Speaking to Polish media, Zelensky said he wanted to meet with Putin because all decisions in Russia are made by one person.

However, the kind of destructive activities that Russian forces are carrying out in the occupied territories are making the possibility of any talks less.
