Since 1989, Mr. Samir Ayyash has been an active figure within the Jordanian and Arabic communities in both Australia and Jordan. As a pioneer in Sydney’s hospitality sector, he became the first to successfully establish a long-standing business in the field, which has now flourished for over three decades.
He is the founder of Petra Equipment, a company that specializes in delivering hospitality solutions, including commercial kitchen equipment sales, shop and restaurant design, fabrication, and commercial fit-outs. Additionally, the company provides consultancy services to support industry newcomers. Among its most notable projects are government contracts, such as one for the Australian Defence Force, with budgets exceeding $2 million. Petra Equipment generates over $33 million in annual revenue and employs 63 staff members.
In 1998, Mr. Ayyash expanded his business interests by launching an entertainment production company that has played a major role in promoting top-tier Middle Eastern artists.
In 1996, he established an export company, Asian Galaxy Pty Ltd, which remains active today. The company exports an average of 20 containers per month and owns nine restaurants across China.
Driven by his passion for innovation, Mr. Ayyash founded CK Cell Technologies Pty Ltd in 2010, operating under the brand Endexome. The company specializes in regenerative medicine and stem cell-derived therapies to treat major health conditions. It currently holds a valuation of $65 million.
Mr. Ayyash has also made a significant impact in the food franchise industry. As a co-owner of multiple independent restaurant chains and a partner with Seagrass Hospitality, he has contributed to a business that operates globally, spanning Sydney, the UAE, London, Qatar, Kuwait, and South Africa. Seagrass generates $250 million annually and employs 1,500 individuals.
In 2021, he further expanded his business portfolio by entering the mining and natural stone sector, establishing Galaxy Mining in Jordan.
