Russia agrees with Security Council to resolve Ukraine crisis

Members of the UN Security Council, including Russia, have expressed deep concern about maintaining peace and security in Ukraine. At the same time, they expressed support for the efforts of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to find a peaceful solution to the crisis.

This is the first time the Security Council has been able to issue a statement since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The statement was unanimously accepted. News Reuters.

“The United Nations Security Council is deeply concerned about the peace and security of Ukraine,” the statement said. The Security Council requested that in addition to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s ongoing inspections in Iran, that it monitor Iran’s compliance with “the steps required by the IAEA Board”.
