Rakuten Cashback Review 2022: using for 2 Years | Does It Work?

Hello Guys today I’m reviewing rakuten cashback, which is formerly known as ebates. It’s and I have been using it for the past two years. So I wanted to share whether it really works are not as usual. I’ll talk a little bit about rakuten and what that is and go into the pros and cons from my perspective. So, before we get started, don’t forget to follow me on social media.

For notifications on when I post new videos. So let’s go ahead and start with a little bit about rakuten. This is also formerly known as Ebates, and it is an easy way to get cash back through a shopping through their website or their app. I have been using it for two years now. And basically, if you’re doing online shopping, you just have to check out using it there link on the rakuten site.

And if you are shopping in stores, you have to link your It card or debit card to that store on the rocket engine app before checking out. Then when you get cash back, they pay you every quarter or every three months and you get that via a physical check in the mail or get it paid out through PayPal. Just a heads up. I’ll be talking mainly about shopping online and we’re getting cash.

Back through their online website versus shopping and store. I’ve never actually used recognition in store because I rarely shop in stores, just why I in case you’re looking for that I’m probably not going to talk about that too much in this video, but I just know that feature exists. I think that’s all you need to know about rocket in. So let’s go ahead and move into the pros from my perspective.

First off. I actually earn cash and generally basically get paid to shop rakuten over the past two years. I’ve earned about $350 cash back and that’s like all free money just for shopping through the website and I really done mate, most of my purchases in the past, one years. So if you average that out, I have been good at getting about 50 dollars, cash back per year for shopping, and that’s for someone who doesn’t shop a ton.

So, that’s a pretty decent amount. I would say, for not really doing anything. Obviously. It depends on which stores you’re shopping at and how much cash back. They are offering for shopping at those stores, but, you know a little bit here and there it starts to add up after a while. Another Pro is that they actually have pretty good stores available on.

Website, so, it’s not the not like these random stories that you never shop. At. They have like, Target, Walmart, Nike, Adidas, Macy’s. So, those are some of the stories that I try to use Rakuten for, for shopping online. And so these, as you can see, those are like big name stores as well as they also have like small, our brand names as well.

So the list of stores is actually a pretty extensive, and there’s a huge variety of different retailers available on their website. Another Oh, is that sometimes they have days where they have double cash back, or triple cash back for certain retailers. As far as I know, this is random. So you can’t really plan this out.

But, you know, sometimes you met randomly stumble upon a shopping on a day where like say for example Macy’s it’s like double cash back and so instead of 5% cash back, you’re getting like 10 percent cash back. So it’s just like a nice surprise and it just helps you boost the amount of cash back. You’re getting another Pro for shopping online. Is that if

Start your shopping trip without rockets and you can still check out using rakuten in and get that cash back and typically, open a new tab. Go to Rakuten select the retailer that I’m about to check out at and then use that new tab to check out. So that rocket in registers that cash back, one last Pro is that they actually have a really good referral program.

So for everyone, you prefer, you both get our full bonus, so that could be, like, $20 for the person you are for and for yourself, as well as long as As they make like, a minimum amount purchase within their first, 90 days after signing up through your referral link. So, as long as they make a purchase with rocket in, in the first 90 days.

Typically, it’s like a minimum purchase. Maybe it’s like 20 dollar purchase or something like that. Then you both get a referral bonus. And that’s like an easy, 20 dollars that you can make just by referring someone and then using it. So it’s a great way to earn some money by recommending your family and friends to shop through Rakuten, especially during this holiday season.

Now, moving on to the The only con that I can think of is that sometimes it takes a while to get your cash back again. They do pay it out every quarter or every three months. So, I’ll show their payment schedule here. But as you can see if you make a qualifying purchase say in January, you won’t get that cash back until May.

So obviously that takes months and takes at the very least a month and a half to get your cash back if not longer. So just keep that in mind. It’s not like an instant cash. Back onto your account or anything like that. You do have to wait a few months till the next like a quarterly cycle to earn your cash back check or get it on PayPal. I think that’s pretty much it.

So if you’re interested in signing up for rockets, and I will leave my referral link down in the description box below in case you want to use my link so that we can both receive a referral bonus. After you make a qualifying, a minimum purchase within your first 90 days of opening your account.

This is a great time to do it since it’s during the wheezing, you’re probably doing some holiday shopping. Don’t forget to give this video a like if you found this helpful and let me know if you have any questions in the comments down below since I’ve been using rakuten in for so long now, and I hope this post helped you.
