Every aspect of the deity’s physical appearance is described in these verses. It glorifies God and His power to free our souls after death. He is the Supreme power worshipped by Lord Indra. Reading out the Kaal Bhairav Ashtakam or reciting it ensures that our soul reaches Lord Kaal Bhairava’s feet in the afterlife. It eradicates poverty and reduces negative feelings like sorrow, pain, hatred, agony, etc. Each of the verses is written in Sanskrit by Adi Shankaracharya.
