Adding the Roadrunner Email account on an email client-

Basically, to add the email account, you only need to know the server settings for your account. Server settings are responsible for sending and receiving the emails in your inbox, so you have to be careful with them. If you somehow make a mistake in the server settings, you may face errors with your account. So make sure to follow these server settings while adding your account on an email client-

Roadrunner Server Settings-

You can use any of these server settings.

  • IMAP
  • POP3
  • SMTP

If we simply describe here, all of these are protocols that can decide the nature of your email account. But note that POP and IMAP both are the incoming protocol while SMTP is an outgoing protocol. So, you have to choose one of the incoming protocols for your account, and along with that chosen protocol, SMAP will be your Outgoing protocol. All these protocols have different advantages. So, you can choose any of these wisely after knowing all about them. Now, let’s start with the incoming server settings.

IMAP Server Settings-

You can follow these IMAP settings to set the incoming server.

  • Incoming Email Service Type: IMAP
  • Incoming Server Username: Your Roadrunner mail address
  • Password for Incoming Email Server: Your email account password
  • The hostname for Incoming Server:
  • Port Number for Incoming Server: 993

  • Port Number for Incoming Server: 995
  • Incoming Server TLS/SSL required: YES
  • Authentication required: YES ( Roadrunner account username and password)

These were the Incoming server settings for your account. You can choose anyone between these two services. After that, you have to set Outgoing Server settings for your account. So, here are the SMTP (Outgoing Server) settings for your account.

SMTP Server settings-

  • Outgoing Email Server account type: SMTP
  • Username for Outgoing Server: Your email address
  • Server Password for the Outgoing Server: Your email account password
  • The hostname for the Outgoing Email Server:
