1. Get the right mold material

You must first have a mold to start making it. And that mold must be a female replica of the original part. This means that the mold will need to be made of a material called RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) Silicon Rubber. On the other hand, you will be happy to know that the best part of the material is that it will have a liquid shape. And it may change size when you add the required catalyst.

2. Make the mold

In this episode, you will learn how to make a mold supplier. You will need a master part before making it. And, surprisingly, the original part will be similar to the actual part. To start the process you first need to put the glue master part inside a cardboard box which means it is a mold box. Let’s give an example when you knock on a door of a house you need to use glue in a cardboard box. And then with that, you have to fix the knock on the master door.

3. Get welding resin

In this episode, when you want to get real plastic parts, you just have to fill the ready-made mold hole with cast resin. Then you will get two parts liquid of casting resin.

4. Pour the cavity

Once you get two parts of the casting resin liquid, you need to mix the two parts of the casting resin thoroughly. Remember, the mold must be poured into the cavity. Then pouring the resin into the mold cavity will take 10-15 minutes to set.

5. Remove the part

In the last step when you notice that the casting resin is set in the mold cavity. The plastic part should be released from the tapan mold.
