CCIE Security combines the written examination and experimental examination syllabus, and clearly points out the proportion of each examination topic.
Cisco CCIE Security Get exam right here Written Exam (350-701), with a test time of 2 hours and 90-110 test questions, verifies whether professionals have composite network security skills and solutions for interpretation, design, implementation, operation and troubleshooting. Candidates must understand the requirements of network security and how network security components operate with each other, and translate them into device configuration language. No reference materials are allowed in the closed-book examination room.
Cisco CCIE Security Experiment Exam V5.0
The examination time is 8 hours. Candidates are required to plan, design, execute, operate and troubleshoot the composite network security in a given scene to complete the hands-on experimental examination. The knowledge of troubleshooting is an important skill. In the experimental examination, candidates need to diagnose and solve network problems.
Experimental Examination Format
The experimental examination time is 8 hours and consists of 3 examination modules. In the examination, you need to complete the following
Module 1
Troubleshooting Module (2 hours) The problems in the troubleshooting module are independent of each other. The solution of each problem is also different from that of other problems. The topology in the troubleshooting module is different from that in the configuration module.
The time of troubleshooting module is two hours. However, candidates can borrow 30 minutes from the configuration module to answer questions. In other words, candidates can use an additional 30 minutes to solve problems in the troubleshooting module or configuration module.
Module2
Diagnostic Module (1 hour) is a new whole unit. Candidates are provided with a series of documents without device access, representing the same portrayal as the real working scene where a network engineer may encounter at some point in an investigation process. The main objective of the diagnostic module is to verify whether candidates have the skills to correctly diagnose network problems. These skills includeanalysis, relation, review a variety of document resources (e.g. e-mail reply group, network topology, console output, logs, and even traffic capture)
These assessment contents are part of the whole troubleshooting skills. Due to the significant difference in the format of the topics, they were designed in different experimental modules. In the troubleshooting module, the exam needs to complete troubleshooting and solve network security problems on real equipment
In the diagnostic module, candidates need to make decisions between predefined options
What is the root cause of network problems?
Where does the network problem appear in the chart?
What key information can help identify the root cause?
What information is lacking to help identify the root cause?
Module 3
Configuration Module (5 hours) the configuration module will provide a set of facilities, which is very close to the actual network and can provide various security components on different nodes in different layers of the network. Although the main part of the hive is based on virtual instances of Cisco security devices, you may also be required to work on physical devices. At the beginning of this module, candidates can preview the whole module and decide whether to answer the questions in order. It all depends on the comfort of the examinee and the relevance of the whole scene and the problem.
Note: candidates must complete each module in order. It is not allowed to answer back and forth between modules.
When answering the questions in the troubleshooting module, candidates can choose to borrow 30 minutes from the 5-hour answer time of the configuration module to answer the questions. This will reduce the total time for candidates to complete the unit by 4.5 hours. spoto dumps review
